Hebrews 4:14 “Seeing then that we have a Great Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we d onto have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”
Meditation / Motivation
Under the Old Covenant, God told Moses to anoint Aaron and his sons with oil to consecrate them as priests. So, Aaron was Israel’s High Priest, and the High Priest was in charge of ministering and representing the people before God (Hebrews 5:1).
The access the people have to God is dependent on whoever the High Priest is. The High Priest under the Old Covenant could only enter the Holy presence of God once a year on the Day of Atonement (Hebrews 9:7). So, he determined the amount of the access the Israelites had with God.
But while Aaron was an ordinary High Priest, our key Scripture tells us that, our High Priest is a Great High Priest! This means we have great access to God. Our access is unhindered and unrestricted. The greater the High Priest, the greater the access to God. Our High Priest is not of the earth and limited like Aaron, He has passed into the heavens. Our High Priest is in the heavenly realm, that is why Scripture says we have been made to sit with Him in the heavenly realm in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6).
We have access to heavenly realities. Our High Priest is the Son of God, therefore, He has given us the right to become sons of God, even as we believe in His name (John 1:12). That why the Lord asked you to hold fast and do not give up your faith in God. And that’s the reason why the Lord has asked us to “come boldly to the Throne of Grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help” — Help is available this week!

Prayer / Declaration
Father, thank you, for being my Great High Priest. Thank you for the unlimited and unhindered access I have with God through you. You have asked me to come boldly to get what I need. This week, I declare, I have access to every benefit the Lord Jesus Christ has made available for me to enjoy! I declare that I am no longer living without, everything I need has been granted, I take hold of it! I have access to good health, I have access to victory, I have access to breakthroughs, I have access to favor, I have access everything the Lord has made available, in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
