Hebrews 11:23 – “By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw that he was an unusual child, and they were not afraid of the king’s decree. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called and known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter”
Meditation / Motivation
By faith they knew that God had given them an unusual child. Can you see that God has given you an unusual life and destiny? You are not like everybody else. If you do not see the gloriousness of the life and destiny God has given you, you will not be able to take a hold of it. You will settle for less. Moses’ parents must have had some revelation from God on which to base their faith, since comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
His parents hid him for 3 months – what the Lord has made available for you is precious, protect it, guard it. Proverbs 4:23 says, guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. God planted the Garden, put Adam in it, and asked him to guard it (Genesis 2:15)! This Divine life in Christ is precious! Moses’ parents were not afraid of the king’s command – do not be afraid of the enemy’s threats. When Joshua was about to face the enemy nations in the Promised Land, God said to him, be strong, be courageous, and do not be afraid (Joshua 1:9). Do not be afraid, your enemies have already been defeated.
By faith when Moses grew up, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. This is about identity! You are not what they say you are! You are not what your circumstances say you are! You are not what your past says you are! You are not what your failures say you are! You are a child of God, you are the King’ child! Refuse and reject any other identity that does not align with God’s reality for you! Refused to be called anything else!

Prayer / Declaration
Thank you Father, for the unusual life you have given me! Thank you for the unusual density you have called me into. I have been called into a life of glory! (2 Peter 1:3 – called to glory and virtue). This week, I take hold of that glorious life you have made available for me! By the grace of God, my heart is guarded! Life is flowing from me to others this week! Fear is not my portion, I declare, all my enemies have been defeated by the blood of Jesus Christ! I refuse to be defined by anything else, I am a son of God! I am not what they say I am, I am a child of the King! I am not what circumstances say I am, I am a child of God! I am victorious in all things, in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
