Surrounding us are great witnesses to the life of faith. If we engage faith like the great heroes of faith mentioned in chapter 11, we will have the same results they had, for our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). They are cheering us up, we are not alone. They ran the race and won, and their witness stirs us to run and win also. You are winning in this season, you are coming out victorious, you are overcoming adversity! To have such exploits of faith, there are six things we must do:

We must lay aside every weight. Weights may not be sin, but they may be things that hinder you from making progress in your faith life. This week, make up your mind that you are laying down whatever slows you down or hinders you. Whatever is in the way of you having such great exploits, lay it aside. You also lay aside “the sin’ that causes you to stumble all the time. There is more than enough Divine power in you, use it to lay aside that sin that causes you to stumble. You can now run with patience the race set before you.

This means, challenges will come, but you will not give up easily. It means you may not seem to be getting the result yet, but don’t give up just yet. Also, while we run, the Lord Jesus Christ must be our only focus. The more we keep our eyes on Jesus, the smaller our circumstances become. Lastly, you must consider how Jesus did it. Every time you feel the pressure and you want to give up, consider Jesus. In the midst of a difficult time, He saw the outcome after the cross, and He decided to go through it. Can you see the breakthrough? Victory is yours this week!
