Scripture

Luke 10:38-42 – “Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His Word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, tell her to help me. And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken from her.”

Meditation / Motivation

Take time to sit at the feet of Jesus. He has a Word particularly for you this week. Let Him speak directly to you. Go for the “one thing that is needful.” Mary sat at Jesus’ feet – This week take time to sit at Jesus’ feet. Let Him speak a Word to you. Martha is doing a great job serving, but we should also make time to sit at the feet of Jesus, and let Him speak a Word into our hearts. We will hear His Word, a rhema Word! There’s a particular Word Jesus was speaking that got Mary’s captivated! This week we’ll focus on sitting at the feet of Jesus. He is our Bread of Life, let Him feed and nourish us. We should have a Martha work ethic and a Mary attitude! The more we sit, the more effective we are, because by the power and presence of the Lord, we’ll do the serving. Martha is worried and troubled about many things. Do not be troubled about anything, just find time to sit at His feet. One thing is needful, and Mary has chosen that good part. Choose that “good part” this week – It is a choice. No one can ever take this from you! Romans 5:17 – Sit at His feet and receive abundance of grace and reign this week.

Prayer / Declaration

Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity to at your feet and hear your Word. This week, as I take time to sit at your feet, I am hearing and receiving a life-changing Word from you! This week, my service in the kingdom is empowered by God’s presence in my life, activated through siting at His feet! I refuse to worry and be troubled about many things. I make up my mind to sit at the feet of Jesus and hear His Word! I chose the “good part,” and this privilege will not be taken from me, in the mighty Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
